When Vince Palacios and Connie Palacios-Pico began a pool service out of their home in 1979 they dreamed of growing their business by satisfying fellow Maderans’ pool and spa needs with friendly and hometown customer service.

Five years later (1984) they purchased and moved into the former Madera Irrigation District offices at 117 N. C Street and became owners of a retail outlet for pool supplies and equipment. In 2005, a month after the couple’s 50th wedding anniversary, Vince Palacios died, leaving his son Vic and Connie to operate the business.

They have recently renovated the 3,500-square-foot building, which has a showroom featuring the latest in pool equipment and supplies. Customers can view top-of-the-line Pentair and Stayright pool filters and pumps. Their brands of pool sweeps include Polaris and the uniquely named Kreepy, Krauly, Kruiser side and bottom sweeper.

In addition to many lines of equipment, the store keeps all necessary chemicals to keep a pool or spa clear and sparkling. The store is open weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon...
