Fashion store owner cuts ribbon

A stay-at-home mom turned businesswoman cut the ribbon to her second new enterprise in less than a year.

Family, friends, city officials and customers surrounded Stacy DeWall, owner of Eye Candy Fashion Boutique and Eye Candy Mobile, in her brick and mortar store at 309 N. Gateway Drive as she thanked those who have supported her and was congratulated by many, including Councilman Derek Robinson.

DeWall’s fashion business venture started last year when her youngest child began attending school.

“I started selling jewelry to get out of the house. I would sell at lunch parties, conference rooms, go into businesses where my friends worked. Then it just caught on. People wanted me to come to their house. They wanted me to go to their sister’s business... sometimes I had three bookings in a day,” said DeWall...
