Farnesi’s sign renovation completed

This past weekend two workers of a crew from Fluoresco Lighting and Signs of Arizona could be seen putting the finishing touches on the half-century-old Farnesi’s Restaurant sign. The marquee advertising the popular eatery to travelers on State Route 99 was constructed in 1963 and included a now iconic long-stemmed cocktail glass with a cherry.

Restaurant owner Don Cederlof was pleased with the finished product.

“They did a great job and (Install Manager) Larry Cooper of Fluoresco and his crew were very nice. It was like working with family,” said Cederlof.

The owner declined to say what the renovation cost, but said, “It was in the thousands.” ...
