Preschoolers in Rosalia Velasco’s morning class sat alongside their parents excitedly as they watched how their teacher showed the adults writing and coloring.
The lessons weren’t to relearn the material itself, but rather to show them ways that help make concepts easier for their children to understand.
During the last Friday of each month, in what’s dubbed Family Fridays, parents go to their children’s classrooms during the last hour of the session. Teachers show the parents how to teach their children vocabulary and math in a fun and engaging way.
