Family disturbance leads to meth arrest

Deputies who were called to a home in North Fork about a family disturbance arrested an 18-year-old man on drug charges, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Department.

Kyle Clarkson was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Monday after deputies noticed signs he was under the influence of methamphetamine, sheriff’s spokeswoman Erica Stuart said.

Deputies reported that Clarkson’s body was shaking, he was talking rapidly and that he had numerous small scabs and open wounds on his face and body — a symptom of chronic meth abuse, Stuart said.

Clarkson, who is on probation, reportedly became violent before deputies arrived. Deputies seized a syringe from his bedroom, several narcotic patches, zip lock bags with meth residue and a cylinder containing marijuana...
