Three suspected serial burglars from the Los Angeles area were arrested Thursday night by Madera police officers inside Home Depot after they allegedly attempted to use a fraudulent credit card to purchase $1,300 worth of wire.

Detective Sgt. Robert Salas of the Madera Police Department said the three suspects — Christian Rodriguez, 35, Dolores Perez, 21, and Ferreol Cardenas, 31 — are all from the Los Angeles area and are thought to be behind a number of Home Depot robberies throughout the Central Valley.

“These guys are criminals that go up and down the Valley attempting to steal high-value items so they can resell them on the street,” Salas said.

Salas said that after a Home Depot was robbed in Visalia, loss prevention staff at the stores cooperated with each other and police to identify and prepare for the three suspected burglars based on employee statements and video surveillance...
