Los Lobos to replace Los Lonely Boys
Texican rock ‘n’ roll band Los Lonely Boys was set to perform in tonight’s opening of the Table Mountain Concert Series at the Madera District Fair — until they canceled and were replaced.
The concert in Madera was only one of five tour stops called off this week. Shows in other California cities, as well as two in Oregon and Idaho, were axed from the band’s schedule due to a band member’s ongoing recovery.
Guitarist Henry Garza suffered neck and back injuries when he fell from the stage in Downey earlier this year. The band announced the canceled concerts on its website Tuesday.
“Henry is still receiving treatment, and undergoing therapy, for neck and back injuries ... We hope that with the additional rest, the band will be able to bring their Texican rock and roll to fans for the rest of the year. Continued thanks for all the healing prayers,” the announcement read...
