The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life in Madera has seen hundreds of individuals dedicate time and effort to make the annual community-wide event a success.
Cheryl Farnesi and Bonnie Tysland take the commitment even further. From serving as team captains to committee chairs and event chairpersons, they have provided nearly two decades of service to Relay For Life.
The 24-hour event sees teams raise money for the American Cancer Society by collecting donations and holding fundraisers. Members take turns walking around the the park for the duration of the event.
