A woman driving a van northbound on Pine Street was injured after hitting the back of a semi-truck and crashing into the front of a smog and auto repair business, a Madera police sergeant said.
Sgt. Matt Wiles said the semi-truck pulling a trailer Tuesday afternoon overshot a turn and attempted to back up and turn into a business when the van hit it.
“The female driver was injured, with possibly fractured ribs, cuts and other minor injuries, and was taken to Madera Community Hospital,” Wiles said.
