NORTH FORK — A 47- year-old man was killed after he lost control of his 2004 F150 Ford pickup truck and struck a large tree, according to the Oakhurst office of The California Highway Patrol.
CHP Sgt. Ed Green said the Saturday night single-vehicle crash was still under investigation and alcohol was being investigated as a possible factor in the fatality.
Green said Davinder Bhalla was westbound on Road 222, just west of Road 226 with a male passenger when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve, and lost control of the pickup truck on the winding road.
“He struck a large tree on the driver’s side of the pickup, which resulted in the fatality. He was wearing his seat belt and was not ejected,” Green said...
