Madera County Supervisor Ronn Dominici said Tuesday he will not seek a fourth term.
Dominici made the announcement at a meeting of the Board of Supervisors, of which he is chair for the third time in 11 years. He said he would remain active throughout the year until his term ends in January 2013.
“I have no intention of going quietly into the night,” he told the audience. “For the next 11 months, I will serve my district and this county with the same effort, passion and diligence I brought to this job in 2001.
“There are still many things I plan to get done, and some difficult decisions that will have to be made. I will meet those challenges head on.” ...
