Domestic abuser faces 14 years in prison

A Hanford man convicted in Madera of felony battery on a domestic partner and causing great bodily injury to her will face 14 years in prison for his crimes.

Alfredo Morales, 25, was convicted Tuesday for beating, burning, and biting his girlfriend last year. The court also found Morales guilty Friday in a separate trial of special allegations relating to his previous convictions of being a gang member and spending time in prison.

Both convictions will add time to his sentence.

The initial crime that sparked Morales’ arrest and eventual conviction happened in November of last year...
