Dog park improvements discussed

Supporters of Madera’s dog park discussed possible improvements, a dog show, potlucks and tree plantings at the first public meeting organized by the newly formed Friends of the Dog Park (FDP).

The recreational area set aside for dogs and their owners is at the north end of Rotary Park on Gateway Drive.

The Thursday evening meeting brought together members of the Madera Rotary Club, Friends of Madera Animal Shelter, Parks and Community Services (PCS) staff and former city councilman Gary Svanda to Round Table Pizza.
