Lions Club district officers visited the Madera Breakfast Lions Club at its regular Thursday morning meeting at Madera Municipal Golf Course to honor several of its members for their many years of service.

Tom Bauder, the District 4A-1 governor representing more than 40 Lions Clubs from Stanislaus County to Madera, presented awards to six members for furthering the motto of Lionism, We Serve.

Accepting their awards were Gerry Sullivan and Bill Glover (15 years), Robert Garibay (20 years), and Ron Snipes, John Sudduth and Galen Wright (35 years). The district governor thanked the club for its continued service and contributions not only locally, but around the world, through the Lions Clubs International Foundation that has provided disaster relief to many countries, the latest being the typhoon ravaged Philippines.
