Detectives looking for Jeep of woman found on road

A 42-year-old Oakhurst woman found lying on the side of Road 222 near Bass Lake remained hospitalized Wednesday with head trauma and detectives are looking for a Jeep she was driving.

Shanin Path was found unconscious on the road just north of Road 274 at 8:37 p.m. Saturday. She was last seen driving her blue Jeep Wrangler, with a tan top and license plate number 5HOU133, in Ahwahnee about 7 p.m.

Path was supposed to meet friends for dinner in Oakhurst, but never showed, Madera County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Erica Stuart said.

Anyone who was in the area of Road 222 and 274 between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Saturday, or who may have information about Path or her missing Jeep Wrangler, is urged to call either the Madera County Sheriff’s Office at 675-7770 or Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP...
