The 2002 Senior Farmer Oliver Espinola moved from Caruthers with wife Virgie and their five young children to begin a dairy operation in Chowchilla.

He served on the Danish Creamery and the Challenge Dairy Products boards for nearly three decades, serving as chairman of the Challenge board for three terms.

Proud of his Portuguese heritage, his faith and his family, Espinola devoted his time to all three.

To support 4-H and FFA, he bought livestock at fair sales and donated them to Madera Ag Boosters. He bought FFA and 4-H animals at the Junior Fat Stock Sales and donated beef for the Chowchilla Fair barbecue...
