A tip to Crime Stoppers has led to the arrest of a man wanted for failing to appear in court on a domestic violence charge, Sheriff John Anderson said Tuesday.
Eugene Lee Christopher, 36, whose picture appeared in The Madera Tribune, Sierra Star and on the Valley Crime Stoppers Facebook page, was spotted near a business off Highway 41 in Oakhurst.
Anderson said the caller who phoned in the tip recognized Christopher’s picture featured on Crime Stoppers.
Christopher was arrested late Monday afternoon and was booked into Madera County Jail, with bail set at $15,000.
