Crash results in DUI arrest for woman

A Madera woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after reportedly losing control on a curve in the hills on Road 400, near Road 603, overcorrecting and rolling her late-model Mazda car end over end.

The driver said she was not injured in the crash and declined medical treatment at the scene.

Officers arrested Monique Hutchins, 42, Saturday night at the scene of the solo car crash after she allegedly failed several field sobriety tests, and registered over the legal limit on a breath alcohol test.

Hutchins told officers she swerved to avoid hitting a coyote in the roadway...
