The Madera County CattleWomen selected a “tireless worker” and “strong supporter” of the organization as the 2011 Cowbelle of the Year.
Willeta Clayton was the 51st person selected for the award given to a member who best represents the group.
“Even at the age of 88, she never ceases to amaze her children and grandchildren with the energy she has,” the organization said in a press release.
Clayton joined Madera County CattleWomen 10 years ago to support her son-in-law, who is a member of the Madera County Cattlemen’s Association. She has served on the board of directors and helps at the group’s luncheon each year...
