The Madera County Tax Collector’s Office collected back taxes on more than 30 parcels of land — and sold five parcels — that were all five or more years delinquent in property taxes, according to a public statement.
Tax Collector Tracy Kennedy and her staff began the process of putting together a tax sale back in October.
“We started with more than 50 parcels,” Kennedy said, “and we only offered for sale 18 parcels. The balance of them redeemed their back taxes.”
