Madera County farmers are hesitant to sell their land, although they can get a higher price per acre than ever before, according to a recently released trend report from the California Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.
Most agricultural sectors enjoyed a profitable 2010 and farmers who wanted to sell their land had an easy time doing so, according to the report.
“Buyers with the desire to expand their operations and the financial capability to do so infiltrated the market,” the annual report reads.
