County’s corrections officers say they back Linn for DA

Oakhurst attorney David Linn announced Tuesday the Madera County Correctional Officers Association has endorsed him in the race for county district attorney.

The endorsement marks the fourth law-enforcement endorsement Linn’s campaign has received, alongside retiring county sheriff John Anderson, the Madera County Deputy Sheriffs Association, and the Chowchilla Police Officers Association.

“We believe that David’s leadership experience, criminal law expertise, and commitment to public safety will make him an excellent choice for district attorney,” MCCOA president Richard Delgado said in a statement. “David understands the challenges that correctional officers face and is committed to partnering with law enforcement and corrections to ensure that hardened criminals are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
