A fter 53 years in the ag business in Madera, Albert Cosyns is happy to be called the “gofer man.”
“I’m the parts man and the public relations guy,” Cosyns, 87, said. “I go for the parts for the shop. I usually go to the shop twice a day. I have graduated to that position. I have 53 years in Madera and have almost earned that position.”
Cosyns, who was honored as the Senior Farmer of the Year in 2009, calls himself a stay-at-home farmer.
“I don’t do anything unusual,” he said. “My boys do all the farming. If they need help, I’ll help out.” ...
