Costa: new funding for housing

Rep. Jim Costa, D-Fresno, met with local low-income housing tenants, and others, to announce $364,864 in new federal funding to support affordable housing in Madera.

Madera Housing Authority will receive the funding, Costa said during his Thursday visit to the Madera Plaza apartments on Tulare and Kennedy avenues.

“We are very pleased to announce that we’re able to provide more than $364,000 in funding to the Madera Housing Authority,” Costa said. “We’ll be working on other efforts to continue funding so that this project, and other projects like this, can continue to provide housing for people in our area, and in our communities.”
