Concert in the Park to feature gospel sounds

The gospel music of Sunnyside Grace and In Pursuit will ring out from the stage of the amphitheater at Lions Town and Country Park Sunday during the second of this year’s Summer Concert series.

The concert is slated to begin at 7 p.m. and is co-sponsored by the Madera Arts Council and the Madera Parks and Community Services Department. The concerts are supported by local businesses, service clubs and individuals.

In Pursuit, is a youth band formed three years ago and currently features Levi Dougherty on drums, Wyatt Grow, lead guitar; Aaron Freeman, guitar; Cheance Whiton, bass; Silver Quintero, guitar and vocals; Emily Burtnett and Blake Giersch. Taylor Beakes handles the sound and Kimberly Montiel keynote.

Sunnyside Grace has been performing for six years at festivals, churches, local concerts and other venues. Their music will bring cheer and an uplifting experience to those in attendance...
