Citing multiple health problems, Madera Unified trustee Lynn Cogdill has announced that he will resign his position on the school board on Jan. 28, 2014.
Cogdill, whose term runs until December 2014, has been a vocal critic of some fellow board members and several top-level administrators since he took office after his victory over Ed McIntyre in the November 2010 election.
He has been a persistent opponent of board chairman Ricardo Arredondo, frequently accusing him of thwarting his attempts to express himself in public sessions. Once, when Arredondo ruled Cogdill out of order, he warned, “I plan to continue to ask my questions,” and said he intended to post them on Facebook.
