Club to clean up local park

As part of Kiwanis One Day, the Stallion Key Club of Madera South High School will spend hours cleaning up Town and Country Park this weekend to help support parks maintenance staff.

On Saturday morning, Key Club members from Madera South, Madera, and Liberty-Madera Ranchos High School all plan to clean up the park and will join several Love Madera events happening at the same time.

Stallion Key Club president Lupe Valenzuela said her group was proud to join more than 40 youth and adult volunteers — along with some 600,000 worldwide — to devote a few hours to community service that day.

“The energy, commitment and fellowship surrounding this single day make the experience of hands-on service even more rewarding for our members as they make visible improvements to our beautiful park,” Valenzuela said. “We are pleased our work could coordinate well with the Love Madera events happening the same day.” ...
