This week members of the Kiwanis Key Club delivered 24 bales of hay for the holidays, the fruit of four months of fund-raising to aid the horses at the Madera County Animal Shelter.
The volunteers loaded 130 lb. bales of hay onto a trailer and then unloaded and stacked them at the shelter, which currently houses a large number of horses according to the club.
Participating club members consisted of students at Martin Luther King, Madera High and Madera South High schools.
