The Grub Gulch Chapter 41-49 of E Clampus Vitus (Clampers) held a monument dedication at the Fresno Flats Historical Park in Oakhurst to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Fresno Flats, now known as Oakhurst.

Engraved on the plaque put in place last weekend were the names of several businesses that have survived in the town’s 100-year history.

According to Clamper “Noble Grand Humbug” Brian Dickens, a time capsule with additional historical information relating to Fresno Flats will be placed near the monument at a later date.

The Grub Gulch Chapter of the Clampers was founded in 1979 and its members continue to preserve historical sites in Madera County.
