Church fundraiser moves to own hall

200 attend luncheon

A church group that raises money annually to help babies, the elderly and others in need finally could hold its fundraiser in its own social hall Wednesday.

For more than 30 years, the Women’s Group at Trinity Lutheran Church has hosted the Spring Luncheon, which features a large variety of homemade salads, at venues around town. The church remodeled the social hall, where about 200 people gathered for the luncheon, said Geri Brown, a member of TLC.

She was pleased with the turnout at the event.

“We’re very happy. This is the first time we’ve had it at our own church and it turned out great,” she said...
