The annual Madera Christmas Basket project, together with the Vineyard Restaurant’s Giving Tree, will once again brighten the holidays for less fortunate local families. On Sunday, the project will distribute nearly 300 baskets.
For more than 30 years the Christmas Basket project, an outreach program of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, has sought to fill the needs of families for food and toys for children under the age of 14.
Depending on donations, there also may be gifts for toddlers this year, according to program coordinator Doug Nelson.
