SACRAMENTO — The California High-Speed Rail Authority announced Tuesday that it reached a settlement agreement with the City of Chowchilla, ending litigation over the California Environmental Quality Act.

“We greatly appreciate the City of Chowchilla’s willingness to come to the table and work with the Authority to resolve this case,” said Jeff Morales, CEO of the Authority.  “The Authority is pleased to end this part of the litigation and move one step closer to creating thousands of new jobs building high-speed rail in California.”

The Authority will continue to work with stakeholders to move the project forward.
