Children from around the world will share about the realities of life in their home countries through song, dance and spoken word in a concert tonight in Valley West Christian Center in Madera.

The Children of the World Choir, sponsored by nonprofit organization World Help, will perform at 7 p.m. in the church at 101 W. Adell St. as part of its nationwide Rescue Tour. The choir includes children from Nepal, Uganda, Brazil, India and the Philippines who present the desperate reality of millions of children who cannot speak for themselves, organizers say.

Attendees are invited to give and help support the mission of World Help as well as sponsor children from different countries, most of whom are waiting to be able to go to school and have stable health and nutrition, organizers say.

“We love to bring in the Children of the World Choir,” said Valley West pastor Lance Leach. “They are always so full of joy and excitement. Their concerts are filled with hope and expectation and it is so beautiful to see the kids sing with all of their hearts.” ...
