Chevy models shined as local car enthusiasts from Madera Classic Cars brought their custom cars, hot rods and restored cars and trucks to Lions Town and Country Park on Saturday to benefit the Relay For Life fundraiser held at the same venue over the weekend.

Tony Frede of Madera with his 1970 Plymouth Hemi GTX took Best of Show honors. Fred Treat and his 1962 Chevy Corvette won first place and Ed Valdez with his 1969 Chevy Camaro garnered second place honors.

Attendees were treated to oldies music and a chance at raffle prizes. A special award of a youth bicycle was donated by General Builders Supply.

According to organizer Dwayne “Catfish” Bass, this is the fifth year the club has held a car show to benefit the American Cancer Society.
