Charles P. Doud has been named managing editor of The Madera Tribune, according to publisher/editor Rockford M. Hayes.
He and his wife, Annette, who will work for The Tribune in the advertising department, are former owners of a weekly newspaper and printing company in Northwest Washington State.
Doud was assistant news editor of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and associate editor of the Tacoma (Wash.) News Tribune.
Doud also is a former general manager of Capital Press, an agricultural weekly serving Oregon, Washington and California.
The Douds have six grown children and three grandchildren.
