The Salvation Army today will open a new location in Madera at 1800 Howard Road, the building once occupied by Purl’s Sheet Metal.
“We are excited to officially open our doors,” said Carrie Phillips, Madera Service Center Director. “This will be a great opportunity for our neighbors to learn about the many services we offer.”
The public is invited to the opening, from 2 to 6 p.m. “to give the community an opportunity to get to know the Salvation Army facility and staff,” a press release said.
Madera has not had a Salvation Army presence since the organization closed its thrift store in Bethard Square at I Street and Olive Avenue about two years ago...
