A 42-year-old woman who was carjacked, beaten and left unconscious beside Road 222 at its intersection with Road 274 near North Fork remained in a coma Tuesday at Community Regional Medical Center, authorities said.

Investigators appear to be no closer to finding out what happened to the victim than they were May 12, when the incident occurred.

Motorists found Shanin Path lying bloody and unresponsive with severe head injuries Saturday night about 8:30 p.m. Her blue 2004 Jeep Wrangler was missing.
