Robert E. Garibay is a lifelong resident of Madera. Married for 40 years, he and wife Jill have raised their four children in Madera. All are graduates of Madera Unified School District.
As a school board trustee, Robert believes that all students should receive a quality education, providing students with opportunities to determine their futures, along with high expectations for all children and an academic program that encourages lifelong learning. Graduating seniors should be prepared to decide if their future includes a 4-year college education, a community college degree, or a trade tech school. MUSD must prepare its students to be visionaries of their futures.
Madera Unified has 21 schools scoring 700+ on the state API exams with 2 schools attaining the 800+ level. District teachers have exhibited a strong desire to see their students succeed. “We as a community should be proud of these accomplishments,” says Garibay.
