Streamlined operator service launches in Aug.

Madera County residents with pressing questions or issues — from “Where can I get my child immunized? to “There is a large pothole on a county road” — will soon have an easy way to get them answered.

The county will launch its “311 — At Your Service” program Aug. 1, providing residents an easy way to connect to government agencies for non-emergency issues by phone or online.

Residents within county boundaries can dial 3-1-1 from any cellphone or land line Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or visit www.madco311.com anytime.

Operators will take service requests in English and Spanish and/or refer callers to government agencies...
