Two buildings behind the Madera Veterans of Foreign Wars post at 2026 N. Granada Drive were burglarized Tuesday night or early Wednesday, according to Bob McCracken, post commander.
He said the two buildings are used for storage ― one by the post and one by a Boy Scout troop.
“They got a lawn mower and a floor buffer out of our building,” McCracken said. “They even cut the wiring on four lampposts and tried to take the wire. Fortunately, they didn’t succeed.”
