In what has become an annual tradition, the Madera Breakfast Lions hosted this year’s scholarship recipients and their families at the organization’s weekly meeting at Madera Municipal Golf Course.
Each recipient discussed their schooling and plans for future education Thursday morning.
The recipients were Clarissa Niino and Harsimranjet Kaur of Madera High School and Arron Van Horn, Kellie Rollins, Melissa Hanson and Lesly Cassandra Ceniceros of Madera South High School.
This is the 15th year the Breakfast Lions Club has given scholarships from $500 to $1,000 to deserving students of local high schools.
