The Madera Breakfast Lions donated a check for $200 to the Madera Community Hospital during the hospital’s regular meeting of their diabetes support group. The check was presented Tuesday evening to Lupe Padilla, a nurse at the hospital since 1995, by Lions Club members Bill Jones and Tom Miller.
According to Padilla, the support group provides information to the community on diabetes and its control.
“We meet the third Thursday of every month at the hospital and have over a dozen participants,” said Padilla.
