A 16-year-old Easton-Arcola student was arrested was arrested Wednesday by sheriff’s deputies for carrying a firearm on campus, according to Erica Stuart, sheriff’s spokeswoman.
The deputy detectives entered a classroom a complaint about the gun on campus, and when they arrested the boy, a gun fell on the foot of one of the officers.
The gun wasn’t loaded.
The teenager, whose name was not released because he is a minor, was booked into Madera County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of being in possession of a weapon on campus and theft of a firearm, Stuart said.
