FRESNO (AP) — A shooting in southeast Fresno has left a 12-year-old boy badly injured.

Fresno police Lt. David Newton says the boy was on life support Wednesday at Community Regional Medical Center. He was shot around 9 p.m. Tuesday when multiple 911 callers reported hearing shots fired.

Newton says family members were present when the shooting occurred, but couldn’t say whether the boy was shot inside or outside the home.
