Assemblyman Frank Bigelow, a longtime Madera County rancher who proudly wears his cowboy hat while working to protect rural California, has been named Cattleman of the Year by the Madera County Cattlemen’s Association (MCCA).
“I am so humbled by this honor when there are so many others more worthy,” Bigelow said.
Bigelow, along with Cowboys of the Year John and Molly Combs, will be honored at MCCA’s fall dinner at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Coarsegold Community Center on State Route 41.
“As anyone who works in production agriculture, raising cattle and working in the industry is our way of life, not something we do in hopes of receiving accolades for it,” Bigelow said. “Having my family’s work recognized by leaders within the industry is truly humbling.” ...
