Dogs of all breeds and varieties will gather at Lions Town and Country Park on the corner of Industrial and Granada avenues Saturday for the third annual Bark For Life.
Proceeds go to the fight against cancer and the 2012 Relay For Life. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with opening ceremonies slated for 10.
According to organizer Lorraine Serrano, there will be informational booths, games, a DJ, dog walks and much more. Vendors from Petco, Dog Pause, The California Chi, Bandit’s Buddies Rescue, Madera Veterinary Center, Friends of the Madera Animal Shelter, and others will offer advice for canine care and free giveaways.
A highlight of the day is the “Doggie Games” including Musical Doggie Sit, Best Dog Trick, Best Dressed Dog in Relay Colors (purple), and a Doggie/Owner Look-a-Like contest...
