Victim evades bullets, but injured in crash

Madera police have arrested a 22-year-old man suspected of luring another man into an ambush at an apartment complex near Central and H streets and firing at least seven shots at him.

The victim, 25, wasn’t hit by gunfire but was injured as he sped off and hit another car, rolling his SUV.

The suspect, Enrique Ruvalcava of Madera was arrested July 5 on charges of attempted murder with criminal street gang enhancements and for shooting into an occupied dwelling, among other charges.
