Arrests nab suspects in burglary string

Some recent arrests may have helped solve some the rising number of daylight burglaries reported on the city’s West Side.

Madera police Sgt. Robert Salas, supervisor of the Community Response Unit, said 19-year-old Alejandro Sanchez was arrested Wednesday morning at a local motel, after a tip from the public.

Sanchez was charged with multiple counts of burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of a gun and probation violations. He also was wanted on another burglary charge, Salas said.

“He was wanted on an (outstanding) felony warrant for burglary,” said Salas. ”When he was arrested he was also found in possession of a loaded hand gun. There was also a juvenile and a second suspect arrested with him. Aldo Renoso, 27, was arrested on charges of drug sales.” ...
