A Madera woman appeared in court Monday morning to be arraigned on charges of manslaughter and felony hit-and-run in the death of a 3-year-old boy she allegedly struck with her SUV in 2010.
But the arraignment was postponed until next month.
At a preliminary hearing this month, prosecutors said Ivette Godinez was speeding and possibly using a cellphone when her SUV hit Efrain Hernandez, who was crossing Olive Avenue at Martin Street in a crosswalk with his aunt.
