A 54-year-old Madera man convicted of armed robbery was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years and eight months in state prison, Madera County District Attorney Michael Keitz said.

Gregory Garcia had a previous felony record when he walked into a convenience store Aug. 23 and pointed a gun at the store clerk. When the clerk wasn’t quick enough to respond to Garcia’s demand for money, he pointed the gun at her 7-month-old daughter and threatened to shoot her.
